A place away from the distractions of everyday life, where people can hear the Word of God and encounter Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. Village Creek Bible Camp is a year-round ministry offering life-changing camp experiences enabling people of all ages to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Since 1972, Village Creek has offered a wide variety of camps and retreats and is dedicated to serving as an extension of the local church. Located in northeast Iowa’s beautiful Bluff Country just a few miles west of the Mississippi River, Village Creek offers each of its campers beautiful surroundings, staff and counselors who care, and practical spiritual direction. From the serene, wooded trails to the hilltop vistas, the Lord's creative hand surrounds us at VCBC. In this setting we have seen thousands of campers of every age come to faith in Christ, surrender to His will, grow in their faith, and dedicate themselves to His service. Our schedule is designed to make your time at camp a memorable experience. Chapel times to challenge and encourage you, quiet time to spend with God each morning, and fun at every turn all await our guests. We hope you'll make yourself comfortable in our accommodations, as they are designed and prepared just for you free of the distractions of your regular busy life. At VCBC, every day is filled with “funtastic” things to do - The Blob (you just have to see it!), kayaking, fishing, the 100’ waterslide, and the beach are some of the highlights at the lake. We also have laser tag, archery, and high and low ropes challenge course with one of the longest zip-lines in the Midwest. Horsemanship, including trail-riding, horsemanship instruction and camps, is a core program of Village Creek, utilizing our beautiful surroundings. Our Bungee trampoline, playgrounds, and craft and leather shops are just a few of the fun-filled activities offered during free time. Why is all this fun so important? Because a heart that is refreshed and encouraged can better accept the truth of God's Word. We desire VCBC to be a place where you can grow strong, changed by Christ and strengthened by His grace. To that end, VCBC focuses on Biblical teaching and encouragement, and every camp and retreat features excellent Christ-honoring speakers and musicians. Special services and chapels help campers personalize God's Word in their lives, and a daily personal devotional time gives practical instruction in godly habits.
