College Application Summer Bootcamp 2019- Sarasota

Program Outline: BeyondCollegeNow is hosting a college application summer bootcamp in Sarasota. The application bootcamp is designed to assist students in their junior and senior year of high school by alleviating the stress and anxiety of applying to college. Under the guidance of college admissions experts, students will get a head-start in their college applications. In this two day workshop, students will: Understand how selective colleges admit the best students. Learn how to find and apply to "best-value" and "best-fit" colleges to maximize scholarships and financial aid. Get a head start on their college applications by starting state-school applications and national ones such as the Common and Coalition applications. Create a preliminary list of likely, target, and reach colleges. Identify their unique value proposition by "branding" their extracurricular and leadership activities via a college resume.  Brainstorm, outline, and start writing a stand-out college essay. Dates:  Wednesday, July 31-Thursday, August 1, 2019 Time: 9:00am-2:00pm Location: The Glasser/Schoenbaum Human Services Center: 1750 17th Street, Building J, Sarasota, FL 34234 Daily Schedule: Wednesday-Thursday 9:00AM - 12PM: Workshop - Lead counselor will guide students through major topics in college admissions 12PM - 12:30PM- Lunch  12:30PM - 2:00PM: Work time for college selection, resume, and essays- counselors will be available to help! *No Refunds: Because space is EXTREMELY limited, we cannot offer any refunds for the boot camps. Once you register, there will be no refunds for any reason.
