Dates: July 15-19, Monday – FridayTime: 10am – 2pm dailyAges: 8+ Description: Get ready for a wild time in this camp full of squishy beasts and stitched bugs. We’ll start with drawing and crafting small upcycled projects to build the skills for making our own stuffies later in the week. Along the way you’ll learn to sew a button, embroider dots and lines, print your own fabric and sew by hand. We’ll study our favorite animals to figure out what makes them so special. Then play with color and texture, size and shape to make totally unique plush pals.  Participant Materials & Requirements: All materials provided. No experience necessary, but students must be able to safely handle scissors, needles and carving tools. Please bring a lunch, snack and water.   About the Instructor: Libby Chenault is a local fiber artist, mother and popular workshop teacher around town. During the school week, Libby works with kids of all abilities as a paraeducator at Carl Cozier Elementary School. For over a decade she taught gardening and craft classes through the Bellingham Parks and Rec department for folks with disabilities and kids. She specializes in working with recycled materials and adapting projects to students interests and abilities.
