Preschool Readiness Camp 2019

PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATION CAREFULLY AS REQUIREMENTS HAVE CHANGED FROM PREVIOUS YEARS This three-week long, Monday-Thursday 9am-12:30pm camp provides an authentic school experience for children (ages 3-5) with Down syndrome during the month of July 8-25) in a supportive and fun environment.  This is especially important for children who may be going to a new school in the fall or going to preschool for the very first time, so that they are better prepared and excited to learn.  Preschool Readiness Camp is 3.5 hours, four times weekly, 9am-12:30pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with the same basic routine for your child(ren) each day. Due to the fact that there are a limited number of spots available, students are expected to arrive on time each day and to attend the entire duration of the program. Please note: no direct service therapies (OT, PT, speech) will be provided, although there will be plenty of opportunities for your child's learning and development. No lunch is provided. Students should bring their own lunches and snacks.  This is the seventh year the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida is partnering with the Child Development Center at Rollins College. $150 total for 3 week program, $900 for non members ($780 member scholarship automatically provided by DSACF) Additional need-based scholarships may be available.
