Youth Camp 2016 - Hot Springs Village, AR

Good Afternoon, It's time to get ready for camp. Below, please see a short version (for those in a hurry) and a longer version (for the detail people) of what you need to know. Short Version Camp is the MOST IMPORTANT thing we do every year. I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE all students to attend. We're shooting for June 20 - 24. Camp Registration will not be on-line this year. Paper Forms will be available soon. Students must reserve their spot now by going on-line to 3dnwa.com and then paying a $75 deposit in person or on-line at trinitynwa.com Reservations must be made (and deposits paid) by January 24th Deposit Amount: $75 Total Amount: $175 (Balance due on June 5th) See me with any questions/concerns. If you have to choose between Merge or youth camp, choose youth camp. Long Version The time has come, once again, for us to prepare ourselves to go to youth camp. Each year I am thrilled about his opportunity. As I am sure any of our staff will attest, youth camp is the single most important event that we offer for the students of 3 Degrees Youth Ministry. Imagine this. Your student goes away for one whole week without their TV, radio, Ipod, computer internet or the negative influence of their non-Christian friends. Each day they wear themselves out with go carts, basketball, swimming and other activities. Each evening they experience church service like many have never experienced before. They are immersed in the love of Christ, and the spirit of the Lord surrounds them. For one full week we, as youth workers, have the opportunity to pour into their lives without any distractions. Most students come home with a new found love for the Lord, and an excitement to win their world for Christ. This year we will try to attend camp #3 from June 20th – 24th. The speaker will be Rev. Bryan Jarrett, a powerful speaker with a heart for God. This year, the Arkansas District will not be offering on-line registration for youth camp. Only paper forms will be used. However, the district is allowing churches to call and reserve beds for the camp of their choice on February 1st by paying the deposit via credit card. Forms can then be completed and sent in. There is a limited number of beds, so reserving our spots is critical. In order to make sure I am ready to call in on February 1st, I need all students to fill out an on-line reservation form for me and pay their $75 non-refundable deposits by January 24th. The remaining $100 will be due to the church by June 5th. The $75 deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. Many of our students have funds available in their account to cover all or part of their camp registration. It is extremely important to me that your student is given the opportunity to experience camp with us. I want every student to attend with us. I ask that each of you speak with me if you have any concerns about your students attending camp with us (rather than just dismissing the idea). This includes any concerns about finances. I realize that $175 is a lot of money, and if you have more than one student it becomes that much more difficult. We will be asking the church to assist us in sending students to camp. I will NEVER turn a student away from camp due to finances if they are willing to help themselves, so please speak with me if this is a concern for you. That being said, there will be no scholarships given for the deposit. We have had too many times in the past where a scholarship was given, and the student changed their mind about going, so the money was wasted. Thank you, Pastor Brian
