After camp closes for the season, you may find that you miss your camp friends and the experiences you had at summer camp. Fall is an excellent time to host a camp reunion and remember your fun times with your closest friends.

Below are a few tips to help you throw a fun reunion with your camp friends:

1. Reduce Your Stress

How big your reunion is depends on where you are hosting it. For example, if you are hosting it at a local theme park, you can send out an invite to the whole camp e-mail list. However, if you are hosting a slumber party, you will need to be much more selective in your invitations.

You may feel like a camp reunion is not a reunion without everyone from camp. However, keeping your event small will help make it more manageable while allowing people to spend quality time with each other. For example, you may want to invite just your bunk mates or the people in your unit as opposed to all of your camp friends.

If you feel overwhelmed planning your camp reunion, then ask another camper for help organizing the event.

2. Be Inclusive In Your Invitations

While you may want to keep the event small, you do not want to purposely exclude someone from the reunion. If you are inviting your bunk mates, invite all of them, not just the ones you got along best with. Additionally, invite your friends' friends, even if you did not particularly like them. This will pave the way for positive relationships at future camp sessions.

3. Try to Recreate the Camp Atmosphere

Camp is not only a special blend of people, but also an atmosphere where you can have fun and be yourself. A camp reunion should try to recreate that atmosphere. Consider outdoor venues, such as a local campground, or fun, carefree places such as a water park or amusement park.

Planning a camp reunion is a great way to get together with your camp friends. Following these tips will help make your reunion as great as camp was.
