ADW 2019 Presents: Make Space - Augmented Reality Poster Installation

Austin Design Week 2019 Presents: Make Space - Augmented Reality Poster Installation Organized by: The University of Texas at Austin School of Design and Creative Technologies Students enrolled in Typographic Environments at The University of Texas School of Design and Creative Technologies will respond to this year's ADW theme, "Make Space," with a poster installation exploring what the theme means to them. Each poster will trigger an animation that comes to life on your phone using a free augmented reality (AR) app called Artivive.  Attendees to this installation will need to download the free app, Artivive, for the complete AR experience. More can be learned about the app here: https://artivive.com About the Faciliator:  Jason Wilkins became an Assistant Professor of Practice at the inception of the University of Texas at Austin School of Design and Creative Technologies in 2017. Before becoming an educator, he helped lead a wide range of design projects across branding, communications, strategy, and environmental graphics at Page/Dyal (formerly Dyal and Partners.)  In addition to maintaining a design practice and teaching at the university, he also has an interest in giving back to younger students—leading a summer design camp for high school students and co-founding Curb (curbaustin.org), an after-school program whose mission is to help students realize their potential through skateboarding.  jasonwilkins.design | @sans.sheriff Parking & Transportation: Limited parking (paid street and garage parking) | CapMetro downtown | See our sustainable transportation recommendations This venue is handicap accessible.
