We are happy to announce The Coyote Tracks Family Weekend program at the Tracker School's Primitive Camp, NJ November 1-3 2019 Reconnect with Nature and your family! Instructors Kristi Knapp, Alex Carney, Octavio Liriano Jr., Kyle Deschamps, Daniellle Marple, Nancy Goode, and more TBA, During a fun weekend of Earth Skills, Games, and Stories. All ages and experience levels welcome. Youth 12 and over may attend without an adult. Children 3 and under are free.We are very excited to have an opportunity to share with youth and families at this amazing site. Both Alex and Kristi were previous students of Rick Berry's over 15 years ago and are excited to give back what they were given while having many experiences in the Pine Barrens camp. Octavio has had over 20 years of teaching and working with youth in starting back in 1999 with the Children of the Earth Foundation. We had a wonderful time this past summer working with Tom Brown at the second annual family camp in the Pine Barrens and hope to continue offerings to youth from the place where Tom Learned from Stalking Wolf. Skills May include: Debris hut shelter Bow-drill fire making Cordage making Throwing stick Cutting edge stone tool Rock boiling Fox walking, wide-angle vision Awareness games and activities Tracking wander Lost proofing basics Campfire stories and night games swamp gymnastics Campfire cookout Attitude and philosophy of a Child of the Earth. For Parents and adults, there will be discussions on teaching philosophy, skills geared for adults, as well as time to relax and have solo time in nature or time to have deeper discussions with each other.
