Design Engineering SPY CAMP

Program Overview: In this Creative Technologist Camp: kids will design, assemble and test their own spy gear to compete in awesome engineering challenges. Students will step into the shoes of spies in action by bridging elements of the physical and digital worlds. Build your own surveillance device, create secret messages with a private code breaker, and step into the shoes of a Secret Spy! Design Engineering: Spy Camp: Are you ready for this year's SPY camp? The Creative Technologist Design Engineering camp theme will be action packed and full of activities to learn about: 3D modeling, electronics, Costume Design and more! This is not your typical STEM summer camp - because it's MORE! We combine the different elements of each tool into one week, so students are able to explore the innovation of working cross collaboratively with these tools. Our programs combine the inventiveness of design with the efficiency of engineering. Students can explore various topics in design with a focus on engineering elements, which exposes them to varying topics such as material sciences, prototyping, sustainability, and visual and accessory design. This program will focus on using 3D modeling, Arduino microcontrollers, and Scratch computer programming to help students create the high tech gadgets necessary to compete in the ultimate spy adventure! Mission 2 7/1- 7/5  ( Single camps) Mission 3 7/8 - 7/12 3D Modeling Decoder Put yourself in the shoes of the world's most coveted top secret spies! Explore the inner workings of what it takes to be a spy by creating your own arsenal of communication devices, transportation devices, and even top secret hidden cameras. This program will focus on using 3D modeling and computer programming with Micro:bit to equip yourself in the ultimate spy adventure! Mission 4 7/15 - 7/19 Hero & Shero Armor Design Put yourself in the shoes of the world's most coveted top secret spies! Explore the inner workings of what it takes to be a spy by creating your own suits and armor. This program will focus on using 3D modeling, basic sewing techniques, mold-making processes, and laser cutting to help students create the ultimate spy costumes and accessories. Mission 5 7/22 - 7/26 Top Agent : IoT Put yourself in the shoes of the world's most coveted top secret spies! Explore the inner workings of what it takes to be a spy by creating your own arsenal of communication devices, transportation devices, and even top secret hidden cameras.. This program will focus on using 3D modeling, Raspberry Pi microcontrollers, and Scratch computer programming to help students create the high tech gadgets necessary to compete in the ultimate spy adventure! Mission 6 7/29 - 8/2 3D Modeling Decoder Put yourself in the shoes of the world's most coveted top secret spies! Explore the inner workings of what it takes to be a spy by creating your own arsenal of communication devices, transportation devices, and even top secret hidden cameras. This program will focus on using 3D modeling and computer programming with Micro:bit to equip yourself in the ultimate spy adventure!
