Summer ACT Boot Camp  (12 Hour Course - Full Test Coverage over 3 days Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday) Session 3 July 8 - July 10 (evenings 4pm to 8pm) The ACT boot camp provides students with the tools they need to prepare for and succeed on the ACT®. The three-day course format is a convenient way for students to develop essential test-taking tools. The boot camp will be held on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday across multiple dates from 4pm - 8pm.  Course includes: 4 hours of classroom instruction per day (over three days) Experienced, expert instructors Official preparation guide including practice tests from ACT Course workbook and comprehensive study plan Thorough presentations and strategies for success on the ACT Course fee includes session and course materials This course is designed to familiarize students with the all portions of the ACT. For science, students are taught how to maximize time and customize their own strategy based on their strengths and challenges. Analysis of unfamiliar data is also a key component of the session. The math portion of the workshop introduces students to the range of problems found on the exam.  Students spend time working through an exam, reviewing strategies for solving specific problems, and learning ways to solve problems quickly. During the English/Reading test prep session, students will have the opportunity to analyze usage/mechanics questions and the rhetorical skills questions to see common vocabulary utilized, to help understand how to interpret these questions and answer them effectively. Students will also have the opportunity to analyze different types of reading passages with accompanying questions to understand common vocabulary utilized and to interpret what kinds of questions are typically asked.
