ASD Boot Camp

Our Summer Institute includes a two-day ASD Boot Camp designed for those new to the ASD classroom or those wanting to improve their current classroom to meet the needs of students with ASD. Topics covered will include Best Practices for design and implementation of programs for ASD, including: Structuring the Environment for Success, Scheduling, Evidence Based Instructional formats and Data Collection, and Managing the Classroom, Promoting Communication, and an Overview of ASD. Presenters will be have all had experience as current or former teachers, and will provide practical information for getting the class off to a good start. Training Objectives Participants will be able to state the standards for a best-practice ASD classroom design Participants will become familiar with evidence-based instructional practices for students with ASD Participants will be able to link data collection formats to instructional goals and objectives *Reginal Trainings are hosted by  the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities, through the Partnership for Effective Prgorams for Students with Auitsm (PEPSA), a program funded by he State of Florida, Department of Education, K-12 Public Schools Bureau of Exeptional Education and Student Services, through federal assistance under the Individuals with Disabilties Education Act (IDEA), Part B. www.DOEpartnership.org*
