Express Yourself Camp for Autism & Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities

Our Place Art Organization Inc will host a six week summer camp at the Knoxville Emporium Center for youth and young adults with Autism and other intellectual/developmental disabilities. Campers will explore various creative arts disciplines including: visual arts, dance, theatre and music. Other activities include: cooking, gardening and weekly fun field trips. Our camp has weekly themes; this allows you to customize your child’s camp time to their interests and to your family’s schedule. We hope that you find this format more convenient for your busy family this summer. The counselors and camp staff will help campers bond and build relationships to ensure an amazing camp experience. Please note: Weekly itineraries will vary based on theme, weather and other factors. On occasion outside field trips may be rescheduled for a later date, due to weather. Age requirement: Ages 5 and up. Please note campers will be separated by age group. Camp Registration Deposit (Non-Refundable): To reserve a spot for your child/or children click on “Our Place Art Camp Registration Deposit (Non-Refundable)” ticket. This is a $25 non-refundable one-time registration fee that reserves your child’s space for any camp session/sessions that you select. If you are registering multiple children, you must purchase a ticket for each child. The non-refundable camp deposit can be paid online at checkout or via mail along with the Camper Registration Packet. This packet will be emailed to the parent upon Our Place Art Organization Inc receiving email confirmation from Eventbrite of the parent purchasing the registration ticket and selecting options to pay online or pay by mail. Please note your deposit must be made one week prior to the first day of the camp session your child wishes to attend. This fee can be paid online or mailed directly to Our Place Art Organization Incorporated PO BOX 5142 Knoxville, TN 37928. In addition, you are still responsible for Eventbrite Service Fees if you register online or select "pay via check" option to mail payment To avoid Eventbrite service fees see the "Register Offline" section below. Weekly Camp Fee: Each camp session is $125 per child per week. This fee includes: all meals (breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks), field trip admissions cost and art/garden materials. The camp weekly fee can be paid online at checkout or via mail. If you decide to mail in the non-refundable deposit or pay on the first day of camp, hit “pay via mail” at checkout. If you select this option, your child/children will still be reserved for camp. To keep your child/children's space for the selected camp session/sessions any mailed payments must be received within five business days of the time you select your child/children's ticket. Please note: You are still responsible for Eventbrite Service Fees if you register online or select "pay by check" option to mail payment. To Register for Multiple Weeks: If your child/children wish to attend camp for multiple weeks, you do not have to pay the $25 registration fee again. This is a one-time fee to be paid the first camp session your child/children attends. Select “Returning Camper Registration” on the extra weeks your child wishes to attend. Please Note: You are still responsible for the $125 per week for the other weeks your child/children wish to attend. Additional: Please note, you MUST register your child for the “Camp Registration Deposit Ticket” and all the camp sessions they wish to attend. To pay via mail click on “Pay by Check" during the checkout process. You are still responsible for Eventbrite service fees. Cancellations & Refunds: The Camp Registration Deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE. A FULL REFUND of the camp weekly fee, minus a $20 processing fee, will be made if Our Place Art Organization Incorporated receives notice five business days prior to the first class of the selected camp session. If Our Place Art Organization Incorporated cancels a session, you will receive a FULL REFUND. A PARTIAL (50%) REFUND will be made if the parent cancellation occurs within five business days of the first class of the selected camp session, except for the business day before the first class. NO REFUNDS will be permitted the business day before, the day of, or after the first class of the selected camp session. Week 1: Express Yourself Camp Monday June 3rd to Friday June 7th 9am to 3 pm Deadline to Register: May 27, 2019 Cost: $125 per week includes all meals (breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks), field trip admissions and art materials. During our first week of camp, there will be a number of fun activities to help campers get to know one another. Activities that campers will participate in this week include: Stories about friendship, Show and Tell, making musical instruments, dance party with Sunshine Ambassadors Inc, painting self-portraits and pottery/ceramic projects etc.
