Camps are pretty much the same but what set us apart is our commitment providing your student with appropriate academic supports. Students lose so much information when they are not academically challenged during the summer. That's 2 months!!! It takes them about 2 additional months to get readjusted to school in the new school year! Do your student a favor and REGISTER TODAY!! What age(s) are appropriate for Knowledge Camp? Knowledge Camp summer program is appropriate for school aged children ages 5-12. Your child(ren) must be 5 years of age on or before September 1, 2019 and/or eligible for Kindergarten in the 2019-2020 school year if planning to attend the summer camp program. Is it FREE to attend Knowledge Camp? Knowledge Camp is not FREE, but the registration fee will cover each student(s) for one calendar year in our program. In efforts to make sure that our families are provided opportunities to SAVE MONEY, our registration process also secures campers spaces during the cobb county school year breaks. Students will be required to ONLY register once per calendar year. (Calendar year is based on the start date.) Durning the school year breaks campers that are registered are guaranteed a space at our facility and on field trips. There is a seperate tuition rate for school year breaks;hoever, the rate will include all field trips for that week.  It is important that all participants register to ensure that our staff and certified teachers are properly prepared to accommodate the needs of each campers. What is the cost of Knowledge Camp and are field trips included? $60 Registration Fee- for new campers/students each calendar year Registered Weekly Rate- $180 per week, this includes MOST field trips (If an additional cost is associated with a field trip the cost will be no more than $10 and will occur only once per week) Drop In and daily rates are not available at Knowledge Camp Summer Camp 2019 session Discounts Knowledge Camp is offering 10% discount for sibling groups of 2 or more. After registering on-line, is there any additional paperwork? Campers/Students that are registered with Knowledge Camp do not need to complete any additional paperwork. New students/campers are required to complete registration documents. You may register on-line but registration will not be complete until registration documents are received and registration fees are paid Knowledge Camp Please complete and return to Knowledge Camp via mail, email ([email protected]), or in person.   Will my child need to bring additional clothing? Extra clothing items are not required; however, it a great idea! It’s important to our staff that campers are dressed appropriately and are comfortable throughout the day. There are times during STEAM/STEM and other activities (indoor/outdoor) that students may get their clothes wet or messy. Parents please take note of WATER DAYS. We ask that each child bring the following items in a bag labeled with their name on it to participate in water activities:  Girls campers full piece swimsuit (preferred) Boys swim shorts Towel Sunscreen- We ask that you apply sunscreen prior to arriving at Knowledge Camp, we will apply but appreciate you puttin the first coat on at home Water shoes or sandals that are for water park use are required. Shoes worn to camp daily must be closed toe. Please label and put all your child's belongings in a bag. These items must be taken home daily and laundered.  Campers are able wear their swimsuit under their clothing (girls) or to camp as shorts (boys) on the days that correspond with a fieldtrip. Please pack the additional clothing garments for them to change into after water das field trips are over.  Where can I contact staff members with any additional questions? Please email us at [email protected] and/or call us at 404-490-1957.  We are open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 5:30 pm.   Knowledge Camp is closed: Monday, May 27th in observation of Memorial Day Monday-Friday, July 1st-5th the week observing the July 4th Friday, July 26th is the last day of Summer Camp Staff Knowledge Camp Academic Enrichment Summer Camp is staffed with certified k-12 teachers, a fulltime social worker and high school volunteers. All staff and volunteers have completed background checks and/or drug screens. Knowledge Camp provides an opportunity for school aged students to master material from their current grade and begin laying the foundation for material that will be covered in the next grade! Talk about a CONFIDENCE BOOSTER! By the way...We offer DAILY field trips!!! (We realize that it's summer and kids want to have a great time. Our design allows flexibility to provide the appropriate supports ACADEMICALLY while students have LOTS of FUN! We also offer...
