6th Annual Friend-Fundraiser, Honoring Thaddeus Miles and Keyla Jackson

The Blackstone Community Center Council is holding its 6th Annual Friend-Fundraiser to help the Blackstone raise support for programming and expenses that are not covered by the City. For example, we will use the funds to offer scholarships to families in need of financial assistance so that their children can attend our summer camp. This year we will be honoring Keyla Jackson and Thaddeus Miles with our annual Community Hero Award. This is the first year that we have honored a “team” and we are doing it because we understand that their mutual support and collective vision(s) for social justice is what really gets things done. Keyla and Thaddeus are role models and mentors to so many people across the city.  Please join us in making a difference in the South End/Lower Roxbury community.
