RISE: TEEN Retreat 2018 - Naches, WA

As Christians, we are called to be sanctified or Set apart, or literally stand out from the world. The word says we are to be in the world but not of the world. But we all too often get lost in the crowd. Our voice is drowned out by the voice of this world, of this generation, of this culture...all telling us what we should believe, how we should act, what we need, what we should look like , who we should vote for, and what is right and wrong..The endless things clamoring for our attention . The cell phones, the Social media, the instalife that our cellphones have created for us..if we aren’t careful we can end up fading into the culture and becoming unrecognizable from the rest of the world. But If we can just filter out the noise of this world. if we can just silence that for a minute maybe even a few seconds...We can hear the voice of our savior calling. He reminds us that we already have a belief in him, that we already know how to act as, reminding us that we have already been given everything we need and are perfect in our Gods eyes if we are reflecting his Son . And if you listen you can hear him say.........Rise. He’s telling you to rise. Rise above the crowd, we rise above the peer pressure, above the status quo, above the worlds definition of you, rise above what the world wants you to be, rise above your excuses and your sins, and rise up to your potential and calling in Christ . Rise up to the voice of our Lord. Because when Jesus calls even the dead get up from their graves! ....the Lord is calling you, will you continue to lay with the dead or will you RISE?
