Junior Chef of Geneva (Youth Cooking Classes) - Fruitland Park, FL

After-School Cooking Classes Cooking classes make a delicious and nutritious after-school activity! Come be a Junior Chef of Geneva, and learn to love your food! Join us this year as we cook up some fun in our interactive after-school enrichment classes at ACA-Camp Geneva around the Leesburg, Villages, Fruitland Park, and Wildwood area. Our instructor will bring all the necessary cooking supplies and food to teach kids how to make tasty eats from scratch. We’ll be expanding our world and our palates as we try recipes unique to these themes. While exploring cultural and food related themes, our program includes a foundation of learning that enhances what kids learn in their classrooms: organization skills, safety, nutrition, working as a team, cooperation, and taking turns. Basic reading and math skills are used daily, as students follow recipes, learn to measure, and double or half the amounts of ingredients. Junior Chef's will learn how much fun it is to cook new cuisines, as well these special joys of cooking: Pride in creating a meal to share with others Using your own creativity to put your own special twist on a familiar recipe New techniques and skills working with familiar foods and exotic delicacies Learning how to take care of themselves and others with these life skills Dates of Junior Chef Classes (4 week courses, from 4-6PM) Thursday, November 9th (each Thursday after) Thursday, December 14th (each Thursday after) $80 per student per four week class.
