Campus Ministry Retreat - Pennsboro, WV

This weekend is our Campus Ministry Retreat & I hope that you’re all excited & ready for a great & uplifting weekend. College students from OSU, OU, WVU & Fairmont St. will be joining us. Our theme is “Unity” & we’ll be looking at the 7 “ones” talked about in Ephesians 4. Your food & lodging are all covered for the weekend with the exception of one fast food stop on the way there Friday. I’ve rented a van, so there will be plenty of room for those who need a ride. This is who I have down as going: Shelby, Hannah, Laura, Stephanie, Liz, Luca, Haleigh, Josh & Jonathan. If you still want to go, but aren’t on that list, please let me know ASAP. I will once again have a sign-up sheet available on Wednesday. The schedule for the weekend is as follows: FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 29 3:45-4:00 – Meet at the church building, pack the van & leave 7:00-7:40 Arrive 8:00-9:00 Getting to Know You Games 9:00-9:45 Campfire: Unity in One Body – Calvin Wolfes (IOF), Unity in One Spirit – Traven Wood (for L4C) 10:00-11:00 Night Games/Snacks 11:30 Goodnight SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 30 8:00 Rise & Shine 8:45-9:30 Breakfast: Eggs, bacon, fruit, cereal, toast (OU provides) 9:45-10:30 Singing & Class: Unity in One Hope, DJ Kessinger 10:45-11:00 Small group session: Unity Through Conflict, Joshua Ball, Ben Jones, Matt Dunbar, Chris Roberts 11:00-12:00 Free time; games 12:00-1:00 Lunch: Pepperoni Rolls and Soup (WVU provides) 1:15-2:00 Singing & Split Session: Men: Unity in One Lord – Tanner Ogle, Michael Roy Women: Unity in One Lord – Jenny Phillips, Morgan Ball 2:00-2:45 Small group session: Unity Through Individuality, Joshua Ball, Ben Jones, Matt Dunbar, Chris Roberts 2:45-6:00 Free time, games, etc. 6:00-7:00 Dinner: Spaghetti w/ Meat sauce, garlic bread & salad; Ice Cream (H4C provides) 7:00-8:45 Evening Activity 9:00-9:45 Campfire: Unity in One Faith – Shannon Wilcox (B4C) Unity in One Baptism – Josh DeHaven (H4C) 10:00-11:00 Night games, singing, etc. 11:30 Goodnight SUNDAY, OCTOBER 1 8:00 Rise & Shine 8:45-9:30 Breakfast: Coffee Cake, scrambled eggs & toast (OSU provides) 10:00-11:00 Worship Service: Unity in One God, Chris Roberts 11:00-12:00 Camp clean up, leftovers meal & depart; get by 4pm at the latest. As noted, I would like leave by 4pm or as soon as we can. If you plan on going & can’t leave that early, we’ll wait for you.
