Seed to Table Kid's Summer Camp with Chef Char - Day Two - Muskegon, MI

This will be a two day camp that involves a little bit of shopping at the Muskegon Farmer's Market, a generous amount of container gardening and a whole lot of cooking. Learn how to grow your own leaf lettuce, fresh herbs and vegetables in small containers that can fit on any back porch or sunny windowsill. Then, create healthy recipes with fresh vegetables, fruits and herbs available and in season at the farmers market. We will practice kitchen skills such as cutting, pickling, baking, steaming and sauteing. We will also learn about best ways to wash and store fresh produce for maximum freshness. Kids ages 6-13 welcome. Cost is $60 for both Tuesday, July 25th and Thursday July 27th from 10:00 a.m. until noon. Class size limited to 15
