Teen Summer Camp - Fashion 201 - Austin, TX

M-F, August 7 - 11, 1:30pm - 5:00pm COST: $250 Looking for a summer hobby for your teen? Look no further! The Cloth Pocket Studio Summer Camp series has arrived! In this week long class, students will learn how to make: A raglan t-shirt with a front pocket A pair of shorts with a front fly zipper and pockets Both projects will involve the use of a serger Your teen will need to know how to use a sewing machine and have made a few projects on their own prior to the start of this class. If they are interested in taking this class but have not sewn before, we ask that they take an Intro to Sewing class instead. Students signed up for the Fashion 101 class in the morning are welcome to register for this class in the same week. Ages 12-17. The camp will take place over 5 days for 3.5 hours each day. There will be a one hour lunch break for students who sign up for both this class and our morning Fashion 101 summer camp class from 12:30pm-1:30pm. Sewing machines can be rented for $5 for the course. It is recommended that you bring a machine if you own one so that you may learn to sew on the machine that you'll be using the most. Below is a list of supplies for each of the projects. PLEASE BE SURE TO PURCHASE THESE PRIOR TO THE FIRST DAY AS IT CAN STALL THE START OF A CLASS UP TO AN HOUR.
