MAMM's Waterville Rock Camp - April 17-21 - Waterville, ME

Portland & Waterville, Maine ~ Maine Academy of Modern Music and Alfond Youth Center have joined forces to offer students in central Maine a chance to discover the art of musical collaboration. Students (ages 10 + up) are invited to submit a response to the question: “How Does Music Motivate Me?” for a chance to earn a full scholarship to attend a week-long camp hosted at the Alfond Youth Center during April vacation (17th - 21st). Video, audio, and written responses are accepted. All submissions must be posted on MAMM’s Facebook page (search ‘Maine Academy of Modern Music’) or emailed to [email protected] by 6pm on Friday, March 10. Winners will be announced on Monday, March 20. All students are eligible for need-based financial aid. MAMM Rock Camps are an excellent opportunity for kids to play in a band, perform covers and write original music. Accomplished educators and members of local bands offer inside tips on self-promotion, booking, gigging, the history of rock and music theory. MAMM’s mission is dedicated towards building leadership through the musical arts.
